Kate Durbin
Kate Durbin and Rollin Leonard are collaborating on a top secret project at Disneyland, inserting themselves into the environment and haunting the rides.
Kate Durbin is a Los Angeles based artist and writer whose work deals with popular culture, gender, and digital media. Her books include E! Entertainment, The Ravenous Audience, and ABRA, an artists’ book and iPad app created with Amaranth Borsuk and Ian Hatcher. Her recent performances include Hello Selfie, which she performed in Australia with men, and in NYC (with Transfer Gallery) and LA with women, and The Supreme Gentleman, about Elliot Roger, the Isla Vista killer. She has performed at MOCA, the Hammer, and elsewhere, and she is the co-recipient of an NEA grant. She was recently in residence at the Judith Wright Center for Contemporary Arts in Brisbane, Australia.
