Zachary Royer Scholz

Zachary Royer Scholz is an artist, critic, and curator based in San Francisco. His visual work in sculpture, installation, painting, and photography alters reclaimed materials to reveal the ways we both shape and are shaped by the world. Scholz has received numerous awards including a Kala Art Institute fellowship, and artist residencies at Headlands Center for the Arts and Recology. He has taught in the graduate Art and Architecture programs at California College of the Arts, and is currently a visiting faculty member of the Critique Program, a postgraduate art and critical theory program based in Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing and an MA in Visual & Critical Studies from California College of the Arts, as well as a BA in art from Stanford University.
