Yomna Osman

Yomna Osman is a curator and writer from Cairo, Egypt. She is currently pursuing a dual degree MA in Curatorial Practice and Visual and Critical Studies at the California College of the Arts. For Osman, research, writing, and curating are inseparable. She has held various positions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA); CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art; ArteEast, New York City; CLUSTER, Cairo; and Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival, Cairo. Osman has organized and curated exhibitions, performances, and events in a number of institutions, including CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art; CTRL+SHFT Collective; and Falaki Theatre, Cairo, among others. She is working on an exhibition at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, due to open in May 2020. She holds a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Public and International Law and a minor in History from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
