Maria Guzmán Capron received her MFA from the California College of the Arts and was the recipient of the Graduate Painting Fellowship. Part Colombian and part Peruvian, Maria has lived in Italy, Colombia and the United States. Her work has been shown at many venues throughout the Bay Area, Texas, Chicago and Peru. Her most recent solo show at City Limits Gallery, She Bop, was featured in Art in America. Capron works out of CTRL + SHFT, a studio collective that she founded with 11 other artists.
