Justin Ebrahemi

Justin Ebrahemi leverages creative content to dismantle barriers between artists and audiences. In his role as Communications & Engagement Manager as CounterPulse, his work interrogates and highlights artistic processes while increasing arts accessibility to the Tenderloin community. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from CSU Monterey Bay and M.A. in Environment & Community from Humboldt State University. Throughout his academic trajectory, Justin advocated for food and environmental justice as an activist, spoken word artist, and environmental journalist. His publications span from investigative reporting for The Sierra Club to groundwater management case studies to LGBTQ college zines. He is the author of a book of poetry entitled Ecdysis, and host of the seasonal Open Stage at CounterPulse.
