Mary L. Coyne is a research associate in contemporary art at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she is working on performance commissions and exhibitions. She was previously a research fellow and curatorial assistant at the Walker Art Center, where she worked on the Merce Cunningham Dance Company Collection. Coyne holds a BA in Art History from the University of Southern California and an MA in Art and Curatorial Practice from California State University, Long Beach.
