Mark Harris

San Francisco based artist Mark Harris is a multifaceted creative whose practice spans painting, photography and collage. He has combined his passions for social justice, activism and art making to create a unique visual vocabulary that he uses to engage his audience on some of the most critical issues facing society today. Mark’s expanded practice includes mentoring at-risk youth through art education programs, as well as teaching art at schools such as the Lycée Français de San Francisco and Yang Fan Academy. He has also worked with the ArtSpan Youth Open Studios program as an Artist Mentor for youth artists in San Francisco. Mark received the 2017 Teacher 4 Social Justice award and has established himself as an artist and educator with a strong independent voice.
