Lor O'Connor

Lor OʼConnor is a self-taught film photographer from Northern California, who currently lives in Oakland. She began taking photos in 2010 after purchasing her first camera from a vendor on Mission St in San Francisco. She uses photography and writing to critically analyze and document her world, as a way to understand the depths of experience. Lor is a founding member of Low Light/Black Hole Collective Lab, a space for filmmakers and photographers located in West Oakland. The collective was a recipient of the Southern Exposure: Alternative Exposure grant in 2018.
