Danielle Dean has exhibited work globally: at SculptureCenter, The Studio Museum, Art in General and The Highline in New York; as well as The Hammer Museum and solo presentations at Commonwealth and Council in Los Angeles, The Center of contemporary art in Geneva and The Goethe Institute in Lagos, Nigeria. Recent screenings include, MoMA PS1 in New York, Frye Art Museum in Seattle and Vox Populi in Philadelphia. She studied Fine Art at Central St Martins in London and received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. She has been a Whitney Independent Study Program Fellow in New York and she is currently a resident at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam. Portrait by Jeff Vespa.
