  • This one of course less is about object, more about examining this particular place built for the reception of a world leader that never came, a breathtaking place that was meant for heads of state and now belongs to the people. A good pairing for the debut of “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea” on PBS. Was that on purpose? Anyway, seems this place was turned over to the people, a spectacular view from there. I wonder, if the palace that was originally being built is still unfinished, what’s the condition of the structure there? I wonder if there is any push/pull between the beauty of the view & the disrepair of the structure?
