Barnett Cohen is a queer poet, painter, performance maker, and political activist who lives and works in Los Angeles and New York City. Simone Forti is a dancer, artist, and writer based in Los Angeles.

poems poems emerges from a friendship: writing exchanged across a city in lockdown. “How do we get through this pandemic? How do we get through anything?” Megan Metcalf asks in her introduction. The answers offered here are various and oblique. They move — on the page, through time and through space.

Designed by Tanya Rubbak, poems poems is prepared for double-sided 8.5” x 11” printing: Select portrait, actual size, and flip on short edge, and do a test print of a couple of pages before you print all, as printers can vary. Once printed it should be folded in half and bound together as you like.
