Adrian Martinez was born in Los Angeles to a family of Cuban and Mexican descent before relocating to San Francisco at age seventeen. In the last ten years, he has been chronicling the ever-changing and varying cultural landscape of the Bay Area (and beyond) with his photography. In his work Adrian aims to highlight the curiosities, humor, and seriousness depicted in the visual rhetoric of today. In 2014, he co-founded the artist collective and publishing house illetante as a way to drive awareness to the local and emergent creative community.
