SFMOMA Assistant Curator of Collections, Exhibitions, and Commissions John Zarobell gives a talk about Bruce Conner’s assemblage LOOKING GLASS from 1964. “Bruce Conner was against things,” he says, considering how this “tawdry, shabby, and kind of grotesque” work might hold up a mirror to the culture.
