Chris Sollars, an artist based in San Francisco’s Mission District, speaks about Bruce Nauman’s Wax Impressions of the Knees of Five Famous Artists (1966). Sollars describes the journey this piece took from its creation in the Mission to international recognition and ultimately back to San Francisco and SFMOMA’s collection.
