In a nice bit of news: a local, San Francisco–based architecture firm—EHDD—will partner with Snøhetta on the museum’s expansion. And, for anyone out there wondering where exactly SFMOMA plans to put all those extra feet of museum, a map:

ø, Snøhetta!

In other expansion news, our website now has a special section devoted to tracking developments as plans are furthered and structures begin to get built. Over the coming months and years you can check in here: OUR EXPANSION.

I believe architects are required to contract a local firm as part of developing their projects (WRNS, for example, was the San Francisco partner to Gluckman Maynard, who designed Don Fisher’s CAMP).

Wonder if EHDD is still working with BAM now that they’ve downscaled to the less-pricey-to-build design by Diller Scofidio & Renfro.

Looks like you posted an internal version of that expansion link — editing it, I found one that works: EXPANSION.

Heya excellent website! Does running a blog such
as this take a massive amount work? I’ve virtually no expertise in computer programming however I was hoping
to start my own blog soon. Anyways, should you have any suggestions or
tips for new blog owners please share. I know this is off topic but
I just needed to ask. Thanks!
