A Seventh Birthday for Open Space

Today, Open Space turns seven. For most kids, it’s a transitional phase marked by new responsibilities, new interests, and (naturally) one’s first cell phone.

Today, Open Space turns seven. For most kids, it’s a transitional phase marked by new responsibilities, new interests, and (naturally) one’s first cell phone.

Our archive is rich: essays, conversations, and projects by an astonishing cast list of over 400 contributors, guest editors, columnists, artists. Please explore!

It started like this. And here’s our first-ever interview, with a guy who installed himself as art at SFMOMA.

We’d like to thank you, our readers, for your ongoing support and involvement  we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to transition (and lucky numbers).
