Keyword: Cats

Happy mid-August Monday.  I can’t believe we’ve waited this long to show off the cats in SFMOMA’s collection. Here are a few favorites that surface when you keyword “cat” in our collections browsing tool, Artscope.

Henry Wessel, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 1968

Andrea Modica, Treadwell, New York, 1987

Joseph Cornell, Untitled, no date

Yasumasa Morimura, An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo (Collar of Thorns), 2001

Carolee Schneemann, Infinity Kisses, 1981-1987. Click image for LARGER view.

Joseph Cornell, Finite and Infinite, 1962

Nicholas Nixon, Kinnaird Street, Cambridge, 1981

Peter Fischli and David Weiss, Büsi (Kitty), 2001, video installation (still)
