Landlock: 6 of 6

Shards of memory found on beaches, discarded lotería tickets, shoeshine stands, rainforests, and Santería shrines — the pieces that fall from the patriarchs guiding these micro-proclamations are bathed in rum, shit-talk, and poor petrol. “Landlock” explores the fragmentary aspects of my Puerto Rican identity, my relationship with the Caribbean diaspora, and my extended roots in East Harlem.
