The Hilot: 2 of 6

“The Hilot” is adapted from a story my Mother once told me about her childhood in the Philippines, when she was visited by the local healer (Hilot in Tagalog). They may also be included in a forthcoming novel centered around my family’s experiences during the Pacific War.
