A Day for Detroit (Works from the Collection)

Today many art blogs are bringing attention to the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts. I will post a selection of images here on Open Space, showing works that will most likely be sold off, as Christie’s has now been hired to appraise the collection. Although Christie’s will also discuss “non-sale” alternatives, it’s pretty clear the writing is on the wall, so to speak.

So before the moving vans show up here are some of the works that may end up on the auction block . . .
