Mads Lynnerup was born in Copenhagen (1976) and lives and works in Copenhagen and New York. He recently completed an MFA from Columbia University and received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2001. He has shown his work at the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt; The Mori Art Museum, Tokyo; P.S. 1, New York; Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw; and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and is in the collections of the Blanton Museum of Art, Miami Art Museum, Orange County Museum of Art, and the San Jose Museum of Modern Art.
