Amy Sara Carroll es profesora de American Culture, Latina/o Studies, y English en la University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. En 2003, ella tradujo y creó un poema visual para El automóvil gris/The Grey Automobile de Claudio Valdés Kuri, que ha sido realizado en lugares como el Goodman Latino Theatre Festival y el John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Su primer libro de poesía e impresiones, SECESSION, fue publicado en 2012 por Hyperbole Books (un sello editorial de San Diego State University Press). Su segundo libro de poesía, FANNIE + FREDDIE/The Sentimentality of Post-9-11 Pornography, fue seleccionado por Claudia Rankine para el 2011-2012 Poets Out Loud Prize y Fordham University Press lo publicará en 2013. Desde 2008, ha sido integrante del Electronic Disturbance Theater 2.0/b.a.n.g. lab, coproduciendo la Transborder Immigrant Tool, que fue incluida en la 2010 California Biennial y Political Equator 3. Actualmente, ella está terminando su primera monografía crítica REMEX: Toward an Art History of the NAFTA Era.”
