  • How nice it is to listen to David Best’s comments about Joan Brown. Her last studio in San Francisco on Yosemite Avenue was next to mine. Noel’s studio was on the other side. I got to know her during the time I spent at Charles Campbell’s Gallery on Chestnut Street and from The Dolphin Club where we both swam in the icy-cold bay. Her day in India was such a sad moment. Thank you David Best for your kind memories.
